Trainer : Bruno Paquet
Bruno has been a municipal manager of parks and green spaces for many years. He is also a recognized speaker and trainer, actively involved in the field of urban forestry and arboriculture. He founded the consulting firm Gestion Arboreta, serving boroughs and cities. He collaborated on the translation and adaptation of the Plant Evaluation Guide 1995 edition as well as the latest edition of 2023. He has acted as a consultant expert in numerous court cases. He has been the designated trainer for Level 1 and Level 2 plant monetary evaluation training for over 30 years.
Introduce participants to the monetary evaluation of ornamental plants by presenting the content of the new guide, 2023 edition, and having them visualize plant appraisal exercises.
At the end of the course, participants will have acquired basic knowledge in evaluation and will be able to carry out simple monetary evaluations.
- Introduce participants to the monetary evaluation of plants by presenting the content of the guide and having them perform practical monetary evaluation exercises.
- By the end of the course, participants will be familiar with the content of the new 2023 Guide and the recommended methods. They will also have acquired basic evaluation concepts and will be able to carry out evaluations.
- The focus will be more on the most common approaches and techniques in Quebec.
The different sections of the Guide will initially be presented and explained by the trainer. Subsequently, all participants will be invited to carry out evaluations under the supervision of the trainer. The group will have to reach a consensus after each evaluation. Course notes will be distributed, and slides will be used to facilitate learning of the material.
